Unity - Olly Nicholson
Working as a technical artist at Unity, Olly Nicholson covers wide ground, troubleshooting issues for users and development teams using Unity through the many support channels, creating artwork for demo's and internal production and presenting major talks at industry events such as the games developers conference (GDC) and Bradford Animation Festival.
Previously Olly has worked as Technical Artist on Split-Second at Disney's Black Rock Studios, with extensive experience troubleshooting, problem solving, tools development and training as well as modelling, rigging, animation and infrastructure for animated Powerplays and environments. Prior to that he was charged with building and maintaining race track environments for Moto GP ’06 and ’07.
With an Interactive Arts degree and a number of years’ experience in photography, architectural visualisation and rendering in addition to his games development artwork, he has a broad spectrum of experience in the graphics arena.
Other notable projects Olly has worked on include I-ninja and Lego Bionicle at Argonaut and Curse, the eye of Isis at Asylum. As a musician and sound designer he has also managed sound artists and assets on a number of projects.
